Total BCS Insanity

Holy crap: As expected, the PBR standings are turned upside down by the 24-hour event. The big winners: Yarnall, Robi, and area hepatologists. After so much hype and bluster about a 30-beer night, Ryan literally does not show up for 24hrs and is relegated to 7th place. And recent leader Kuklis is also dropped out of national championship status. PBR veterans (and all previous BCS champions??) Bowman, Pryor, and Plunkett all slide upward with good results. And two 2008 newcomers to this elite list--Army Jay and Heath--heave GOAT and Tracy right out of the top 25.

The sick season-long PBR tally to this point for the top 25: 631 PBRs (96,543 calories).

One final question: Has Robi asked anyone to take out Yarnall yet?

1. Yarnall, 59

2. Robi, 55

3. Bowman, 41

4. Pryor, 40

5. Kuklis, 37

6. Plunkett 35

7. (tie) Ryan, Jamie, 33

9. Steak, 31

10. (tie) Cush, Matt A, 28

12. Mark, 24

13. Bobby, 23

14. Chuck, 21

15. Scooter, 18

16. Josh 16

17. (tie) TJ, Topher, Yozell, Army Jay, 12

21. (tie) Nick, Todd, Heath 11

24. Selene, 10

25. (tie) Laroo, Accumatt 9

'Well you see, Norm, it's like this . . . A herd of buffalo can only move as fast as the slowest buffalo. And when the heard is hunted, it is the slowest and weakest ones at the back that are killed first. This natural selection is good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and health of the whole group keeps improving by the regular killing of the weakest members. In much the same way, the human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells. Now, as we know, excessive intake of alcohol kills brain cells. But naturally, it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first.    In this way, regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine. And that, Norm, is why you always feel smarter after a few beers.'
