Just FYI.: Action Rental has push rollers, not just tractor-drawn.

Re: From mud to ruts
Sunday morning is better here- family stuff Saturday (Christmas train ride), but I have an adze hoe which is actually designed for this kind of stuff if someone wants it for Saturday. I can drop it off, and then do cleanup Sunday morning if that works. Working trails in slop is actually surprisingly effective because you can pack it in (sorry, the old dirt jumper in me is showing)

No truck, but...
Bill, I have a flatbed trailer with rails, originally designed for hauling a bobcat tractor. It's stout. If you have anything with a hitch on it, you're welcome to use my trailer any time you want or need to.
Which reminds me of one alternative for dealing with the mud tracks, perhaps less technical than either a roller or shoveling out the mud... what about dumping a few loads of woodchips or mulch on the wet/muddy parts? I think that would be faster and less back-breaking than rolling or removing the mud.

3 p.m. Saturday
Couple people are coming at 3 with shovels, a roller, hoes, trail tools. The plan is to work for about an hour.

There's a line!
Although we were frustrated to find the ground already completely frozen on Saturday, we were still able to chop and hack away to create a nice rut-free path in the pines, at the goat fence and across the front yard. Pass at your own risk this week. Of course, it all may mean nothing after yesterday's snow/ice/rain...we'll see what Thursday brings. I've heard those Belgians can be harsh.
Thanks for lending a hand on Saturday...
